Once we have identified our motivation for sinning, we can replace it with a superior gospel motivation. Knowing our sin involves knowing the what (sin), the when (circumstances), and the why (motive). Know your sin. . . .
[V]ictory over sin has already been won in Christ. The good news of the gospel is that Jesus has defeated sin, death, and evil through his own death and resurrection and is making all things new, even us.
